PRIVACY POLICY
Private edits stay private.
Effective 17 September 2026
NoteCue is designed to keep editorial content inside the Premiere project. This policy explains the limited data used for purchases, licensing, downloads, and support.
Who controls the data
PlinkMeow is the publisher and data controller for the NoteCue website and its limited direct-licence integration. Lemon Squeezy separately processes its commerce data as merchant of record. Ko-fi, PayPal, Adobe, and FastSpring process data under their own roles and policies when you use those sales channels. Contact [email protected] for NoteCue privacy questions.
Data NoteCue does not collect
NoteCue does not send or collect Premiere project names, sequence names, notes, scratchpads, markers, media paths, exported reports, or footage. Those stay in the project file and in files you choose to export.
Purchase and licence data
Lemon Squeezy processes the purchase email, payment, tax, receipt, order, download, and licence information needed for its channel. Ko-fi and PayPal process equivalent commerce data for a Ko-fi purchase. Adobe and FastSpring process Marketplace purchases and entitlement. During direct activation, NoteCue sends your licence key and a general computer label to the NoteCue licence service. The plugin stores the key and activation identifier locally so it can validate or release that computer later. The Adobe Marketplace build uses Creative Cloud entitlement and does not contact the NoteCue licence service.
Processors and sales platforms
- Lemon Squeezy acts as merchant of record for purchases made through its checkout and provides payment, tax, receipt, download, licence, and refund services.
- Ko-fi provides the product listing, purchase notification, receipt, and digital downloads for Ko-fi orders. PayPal processes payment for the currently connected Ko-fi checkout.
- Cloudflare hosts the website, the licence service and protected Ko-fi licence database, DNS, security controls, operational request logs, and aggregate Web Analytics. Cloudflare states that its Web Analytics service does not collect or use visitors' personal data.
- Adobe provides Premiere Pro, Creative Cloud Desktop, Marketplace distribution, installation, and entitlement. FastSpring provides Adobe Marketplace commerce and payout services for a paid listing.
What the NoteCue service stores
For Lemon Squeezy keys, the NoteCue licence service relays licence operations, verifies the NoteCue product, and removes customer details before replying. For Ko-fi keys, the service stores protected one-way hashes of the purchase email, transaction ID, and licence key, together with licence status, quantity, price, currency, a general computer label, activation identifiers, and operational timestamps. It does not store the Ko-fi email, transaction ID, or licence key in readable form. Cloudflare may process ordinary request metadata and short-lived operational logs needed to run and protect the service. Request bodies, licence keys, purchase emails, project content, and webhook bodies are not written to application logs.
Retention
Each sales platform retains commerce records under its own privacy and legal obligations. Protected Ko-fi licence and activation records are kept while needed to provide the perpetual licence, manage seats, handle refunds or disputes, prevent fraud, and meet legal obligations. PlinkMeow may retain support correspondence and records needed for accounting, fraud prevention, disputes, and legal claims. Locally stored activation data remains on your computer until you deactivate NoteCue, clear the plugin data, or remove it.
Your choices and rights
You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or a portable copy of personal data where applicable. You may also object to certain processing or complain to your local data-protection authority. Email [email protected] and include the purchase email, but never send card details.
Security
Payment details are handled by the selected sales platform and payment provider and are not stored by NoteCue. The Cloudflare service keeps provider credentials and licence-key secrets in private Worker secret bindings, verifies signed or secret-bearing webhooks, rate limits Ko-fi recovery, and uses HTTPS. No system is perfectly secure, so report suspected issues to the support address.
